Your first stop will be at the spa town Tsakhkadzor- translated means Gorge of Flowers. After your visit to Kecharis Monastery dating back to the 11th to 13th centuries, our driver will take you to the Ropeway, which on your wish can take you to the top of the mountain Teghenis to have the whole gorge of Flowers under your feet. Visit to Tsakhkadzor can be an unforgettable experience both in summer and winter as it is one of the most popular ski resorts in this region.
But the most beautiful is still ahead! Continue your way to Lake Sevan- to admire the beauty of our Blue Eyed Queen. Take the steps up to the Penninsula of Lake Sevan to witness with your own eyes 9th century monastery and hear all the heroic stories related to that Penninsula once being an Island.
Then visit the medieval monastic complex Haghartsin regarded as a “The Hidden Pearl of Middle Ages”. It’s hard to describe all the marvels of this place which didn’t leave even the Sharzhah Sheikh indifferent. Walk back to the Middle Ages through this winding forested paths, face the biggest refectory, churches standing partially destroyed, royal mausoleum and breathtaking views surrounding you.
Rise and shine: you are heading to the “Craddle of Civilization”! Enjoy breakfast in the hotel before the group travels to the Mount Ararat region. Continue your trip to Karahunj or Zorats Karer, which is a prehistoric archaeological site near the town of Sisian. The site is rich with stone settings, burial cists and standing stones – Menhirs.. It is also often referred to in international tourist lore as the Armenian Stonehenge.

Then visit Amberd, which is a 7th-century fortress located 2,300 meters (7,500 ft) above sea level, on the slopes of Mount Aragats. That is why the name Amberd translates into “fortress in the clouds” in Armenian.
After a healthy and tasty lunch head to Hovhannavank -another middle age period marvel located in the same region. Witness the mixture of pagan and Christian traditions, learn the history of the outstanding historical figures who founded this wonderful complex, speak to the locals and don’t hesitate to accept the local invitations for a cup of coffee!
Head off in search of something unique and special! No traveler to Armenia can avoid this wonderful masterpiece partially carved out of the rock right in the canyon of Goght river. The name Geghard derives from the holy spear brought there still in the first century by apostles. This is the very spear by which the Roman soldier pierced Christ while on the cross. In Armenian it is called “Geghard”. Now the spear is exhibited at the museum of Etchmiadzin (The holy capital of Armenians). So don’t hesitate to head to Geghard monastery to let your soul soar above these rocks and mountains and enjoy all the marvels created by mere hand tools still in the middle ages.
Continue your wonderful tour to the 1st Century A.D. Garni Pagan. Garni is the only standing heathen temple in Armenia. The plateau, on which the temple stands, is incredibly beautiful and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the surrounding area. Go there to walk over the paths of Armenian kings, feel the breeze coming over you from the surrounding peaks and taking you back to royal periods!
