Tsaghkadzor

Not far from Yerevan in about 40 kilometers drive you will find yourself in the Gorge of Flowers called Tsaghkadzor. This is the beloved resort of snowboard and ski lovers who come here to exercise their favorite winter sports, breath the fresh air, and enjoy the slopes of mount Teghenis. As a settlement, the resort town is famous since ancient times. Right in these heights since early medieval times, our kings went for hunting. Thus, Tsaghkadzor isn’t only a resort town with all its fun. It also houses an early medieval period monastery complex built by Gregory Magistros Pahlavuni. So if you can’t ski, you can always take the winding path through the resort town to reach to Kecharis complex and indulge in the tranquility and exceptional spiritual atmosphere existing all around the monastery.
