Garni Temple is one of the must-visit places in Armenia. Currently, Garni is the only pagan temple dating back to the first century AD. It is the symbol of the pre-Christian era. The temple stands on a high plateau and overlooks the gorge of the Azat river. The plateau itself is incredibly beautiful. Also, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the surrounding area.
Moreover, it is home to the Roman bathhouse with the mysterious mosaic floor made out of 30,000 pieces of natural stones, as well as the ruins of the royal palace. The bathhouse dates back to the 3rd century A.D.
