Sanahin

Let’s embark on a scenic journey to the Lori region to discover the Sanahin Monastery complex. Sanahin is a major monastery complex. It came to its height of eminence during the 12th-13th centuries. ​The earliest church of the complex St. Amenaprkich was founded by Queen Khosrovanush in 966 a little bit earlier than St. Nshan in Haghpat. From here comes the name ‘’this one is older than that one”. The complex stands on the top of Sanahin village.

It also boasts to house one of the most striking seminaries where many notable calligraphers, artists, and philosophers studied in the 11th century.  There is so much to explore here, so much wisdom all around,  and so many secrets to reveal…
