First, Meet and Greet! You will meet Feel Armenia team. Then, we will take you to the hotel. Get prepared for your amazing weekend tour in Armenia.
In the early morning head to Geghard Monastery. The name Geghard comes from the spear which pierced the side of Christ. In Armenian, it is called “geghard”. Now the spear is in the Treasury Museum.
Afterwards, continue your wonderful tour to Garni Tempe. It is the only standing heathen temple in Armenia.
Actually, everybody knows that Armenian cuisine is very rich… So, you have the chance to be present in Lavash Baking Master Class.
Next, drive to Tsaghkadzor resort town. Also, explore a medieval Armenian monastery Kecharis. It dates back to the 11th to 13th centuries and is in the ski resort town of Tsakhkadzor.
First, drive through the pretty Ararat Valley to Khor Virap which means “deep dungeon”. Here, the first Armenian King Trdat kept Catholicos Gregory the Illuminator for 13 years. Second, feel the breath of Christianity!
Drive to Etchmiadzin, the spiritual capital of Armenia. Visit Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the religious centre of Armenia.
Thirdly, you will head to Zvartnots. Afterwards, enjoy the next Armenian sanctuary Zvartnots, which means “Angels meeting”. One small remark, both Zvartnots temple and Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin are in the list of UNESCO World’s Cultural Heritage Sites.
After visiting Zvartnots Cathedral, you will head to Zvartnots International Airport for your flights. Your weekend tour in Armenia came to an end, but we hope to see you again for a longer period.
