Itinerary

Day 1April 12: Arrival (night flight)

Welcome to Armenia! Greeting at Zvartnots International Airport
Transfer to the hotel.

Day 2April 13: City Tour: Victory Park- Cascade Complex - Republic Square – Genocide Memorial- Ararat Brandy

Breakfast at the hotel.
Start discovering the city of Sun, Yerevan from the Victory Park. The whole city is in front of you. Enjoy the view of Biblical Mt Ararat and make your way down the Cascade Complex which houses Cafesjian open-air museum exhibiting amazing works of modern art. Feel the lively atmosphere of the city walking along the Opera House and Northern Avenue. And voila! You are at the Republic Square, right in the heart of the pink city. Next, go the Genocide Memorial located on the top of Tsitsernakaberd Hill. Finalize your emotions at Ararat Brandy Factory tasting the superb flavours of Armenian Cognac.

Day 3April 14: Yerevan - Geghard Monastery – Garni pagan temple - Tsaghkadzor

Hey! Get up! Pull back the curtains on an exceptionally beautiful architectural piece of Armenian masters. Head to Geghard Monastery – UNESCO heritage site boasting a rich history and awe-inspiring surroundings. Savour the whole spiritual energy of this site and drive into the idyllic countryside towards an absolutely incredible village called Garni. What is so exciting in the village? The only pagan temple existing in the region from the 1st century is waiting for you. Garni temple is one of the unique constructions not only in Armenia but in the whole world as well. Join the local cuisine masters to bake Armenian bread Lavash. Head to Tsaghkadzor and go up Mt Teghenis via the ropeway and open up the huge scenery in front of you. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

Day 4April 15: Tsakhkadzor- Dilijan - Parz Lake- Haghartsin- Tsakhkadzor

In the morning head towards Armenian Switzerland- Dilijan located in Tavush region. Rich flora and fauna life, long history, tasty local kitchen, monasteries and fortresses hidden deep in the forests, warmth and simplicity of the local people attract many people to Dilijan. Visit Haghartsin Monastery- known as the Hidden Pearl of Middle ages. After the visit to Haghartsin, drive to Parz Lake -it’s time for little adventures. Try ziplining or boat trip at Parz Lake, enjoy the peace mixed with all these green carpets and peaks reflected on the surface of the lake.

Day 5April 16: Tsaghkadzor- Lake Sevan - Selim Caravanserai -Yeghegis - Jewish Cemetery - Jermuk

In the morning make your way towards Lake Sevan. Have a boat trip and make your way out towards Selim Caravanserai located on the highest point of Selim mount pass. Selim is a unique construction which is one of the many caravanserais of the Silk road period. Indulge into this awe-inspiring views and continue your way to Jewish Cemetery in Yeghegis. It belongs to the Jewish community which lived in Yeghegis in the 13th-14th centuries. 10 tombstones bear inscriptions in Hebrew. The inscriptions contain age-old Jewish funerary language and biblical verses. Continue your way to Jermuk – a mountainous spa town known for its hot springs and mineral water. The rest of the day is yours to make good use of the exceptional spa services at the hotel. In the evening, you will have dinner at the hotel.

Day 7April 18: Jermuk-Areni Cave-Wine Tasting-Noravank-Khor Virap - Yerevan

This time we head to the northern part of Armenia. First, visit Areni wine caves with 6000 years of history, and lots of mysteries still unveiled to human beings. Try some of the local wines at the wine tasting centre to value the local wine tastes. Visit Noravank monastery not far from the caves – raising high amid red rocks and typical wilderness. Drive back to Yerevan through Ararat region accompanied by the amazing look of Mount Ararat. According to the Old Testament, this is the place where Noah’s Ark stopped during the Great Flood. Drive back to Yerevan to enjoy your dinner at one of the best restaurants of Yerevan with traditional Armenian music and dances.

Day 8April 19: Yerevan -Vernissage Market- Gum Market – Transfer to the Airport

In the morning have a late checkout head towards Vernissage -the market of traditional Armenian arts and crafts, handmade and interesting items. Roaming here, buying some things and enjoying the ambience of Vernissage are a kind of experience that shouldn’t be missed. Next is Gum Food-market where you can enjoy the colourful display of Armenian fruits and dried fruits and other tasty stuff in a friendly and warm atmosphere.
