Day 1 Arrival

Meet and Greet!
Dear guest(s), welcome to Armenia! Once you arrive at Zvartnots International Airport, you will meet Feel Armenia team. You will head to the hotel. Have a rest after the international flight(s), and get ready for one of the most amazing tailor-made tours in Armenia designed just for you.

Day 2 St. Hripsime Church-St. Gayane Church-Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin-Zvartnots Cathedral

Feel the breath of Christianity!
First of all, did you know that Etchmiadzin is the spiritual capital of Armenia? For a start, enjoy an excursion out to St Hripsime church. This building has stood since 618 AD. Afterwards, visit the 7th-century St Gayane church, which is an important architectural structure in Armenia. These virgins martyred to spread Christianity in Armenia. Stop for a while and find your peace in Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the holy capital of Armenia. The church was built in the place, where the Son of God (Jesus Christ) appeared in the dream of the first Catholicos of Armenia St. Gregory the Illuminator and pointed it out. On the way back to Yerevan, enjoy the next Armenian 7th-century sanctuary Zvartnots, which means “Angels meeting”. By the way, both Zvartnots temple and Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin are listed in UNESCO World’s Cultural Heritage Sites.

Day 3 Garni Temple-Geghard Monastery

Continue your wonderful tour in Armenia and visit the 1st-century Garni Pagan Temple, which is the only standing heathen temple in Armenia. Special for you, a musician will play an Armenian national instrument ‘duduk’. Feel the mystery and, then, go reveal the 4th-century Geghard Monastery cut into the side of the rock. The name Geghard appeared because of the holy spear brought there in the 1st century by the Apostles. Additionally, Geghard Monastery is in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites’ List. Besides discovering this wonderful monastery you will have an opportunity to listen to the choir music in the monastery, you don’t even imagine how it sounds.

Day 4 City tour: Victory Park-Matenadaran-Megerian Carpet -Ararat Brandy Factory

Feel the combination of the old and the modern city which is one of the oldest in the world (2801 years old). Take a look at Yerevan from Victory Park. The park is a large forested area with an artificial lake, an amusement park, cafes, the statue of Mother Armenia and a museum. Mother Armenia is the female personification of Armenia. It symbolizes peace through strength. Afterwards, visit Matenadaran, the biggest repository of ancient manuscripts with its research institute and a museum in the heart of our city. After the historical visit, make your way towards Megerian Carpet Factory where you will see the amazing carpets of Armenian masters’ handwork. Last but not least, pay a visit to Brandy Factory to taste the exceptional Armenian cognac.¬†

Day 5 Khor Virap-Areni Cave-Wine Tasting -Noravank-Jermuk

For a start, drive through the pretty Ararat Valley to the 4th-century Khor Virap¬†monastery, where you will enjoy the closest view of Mt. Ararat. One small remark; “Khor Virap” means “deep dungeon”, where the first Armenian Catholicos Gregory the Illuminator has been detained for 13 years for spreading Christianity. Next, continue your tour to Areni caves where the oldest shoe was found during the archaeological excavations. This most ancient winery has a 6000-year history. Right here, taste some Armenian wine near the cave! Thirdly, visit Noravank monastic complex. Consequently, a major religious, and later, the cultural centre of Armenia was closely connected with many educational institutes. Everybody knows that Armenian cuisine is one of the tastiest … So, we give you the opportunity to be present in the master class of baking traditional Armenian bread lavash. Have a rest in Jermuk, the centre of medical tourism in Armenia.¬†

Day 6 Wings of Tatev-Tatev Monastery-Jermuk

Let your soul soar and visit the 9th-century Tatev Monastery, which is one of the oldest and most famous monastery complexes in Armenia. Since medieval times Tatev Monastery has been a vital scholastic and spiritual centre and has played an important role in Armenia’s history. You will reach the monastery by the reversible cable car. The ropeway is the longest in the world, and if you are looking for unforgettable adventures in the air and want to fly, you don’t need planes! Wings of Tatev will take you to the sky! Later, return to Jermuk. Jermuk mineral water from natural sources is unique and rare minerals with the chemical content to be biologically active, which make it very effective in the treatment and prevention of various diseases. Water is also used for (SPA) procedures, which you can enjoy in the hotel.

Day 7 Selim Pass-Hayravank Monastery-Dilijan

In the early morning, you can trace the Silk Road in Armenia by following its caravanserai or inns; medieval stopping points where the caravan riders and their pack animals spent the night. The Selim Pass Caravanserai is a valuable example of these inns along the Armenian Silk Road. Afterwards, visit Hayravank, which is a 9th to 12th-century Armenian monastery located along the southwest shores of Lake Sevan. At the end of the day, head to the greenest area of Armenia which is sometimes called Armenian Switzerland. In half an hour you will get to Dilijan.

Day 8 Goshavank Monastery-Haghartsin Monastery-Dilijan

In the early morning, start your tour to Goshavank Monastery to see the fine examples of cross-stones (khachkar). Khachkar is one of the symbols of Armenia. Goshavank was called after Mkhitar Gosh, who was one of the great intellectual powers of his day and he is an author of the first code of civil and Canon law. He is buried near the church. To explore the nature of the Tavush region, it is a must to visit the medieval monastic complex Haghartsin located deep in the hidden Pearl of Armenia. Discover the amazing monastery, the white queen of the forests. Afterwards, have a rest in Dilijan!

Day 9 Dilijan-Sevanavank Monastery-Yerevan

In the morning go to Sevan Peninsula, where the 9th-century Sevanavank is located. At the same time, enjoy the fresh air and the nature of Armenia. The Armenian Princess Mariam built the monastery in honour of her deceased husband. Have lunch on the boat swimming and admiring with the beauty of one of the largest freshwater high-altitude (alpine) lakes in Eurasia, Lake Sevan! Afterwards, head to Yerevan.

Day 10 Saghmosavank-Armenian Alphabet Valley-Armenia Wine Company

Next morning, visit the 13th-century Saghmosvank, which was built in the village of Saghmosavan near the deep gorge of the Kasakh River. Overall, its excellent location provides additional beauty and comeliness to the monastery. In the 13th century, it was one of the educational, cultural and spiritual centres of Armenia. Discover Armenian Alphabet Monument in Artashavan. Giant stone letters are dedicated to the founder of the Armenian alphabet, Mesrop Mashtots. Find your first letter of the name! It is a must thing to visit Armenia and taste Armenian wine. Beginning with the plantation of vineyards in 2006, the winery was built two years later in 2008. Nowadays, the company is the icon of modern winemaking of Armenia with its award-winning wines and state of the art winery.
