One Day Trip to Khor Virap-Noravank-Tatev

First of all, drive through the pretty Ararat Valley to Khor Virap. Here, you will enjoy the view of Mt. Ararat (to be honest there are lots of places, where you can enjoy the view, but each of them is unique). Ararat mountain,  Ararat region, and endless vineyards create the image of the exact “ Cradle of Civilization” mentioned in the book of Genesis.  “Khor Virap” means “deep dungeon”. There was a royal prison in the 4th century standing on the top of the hill which is also the very place from where the Christian history of Armenia starts. 

Make your way towards your next amazing stop –  Noravank monastery with its intricate carvings. Meanwhile, sample one of the most unusual and colourful sights standing high on the top of the red rocks. Here you will find the only depiction of God. The view of this magnificent monastery doesn’t leave any indifferent. 

And thirdly, visit the 7th-century monastery of Tatev, which has been an educational and spiritual centre for centuries. In addition, Tatev Monastery is in the list of must-go places in Armenia which you can not miss. You will reach the monastery by the cable car ‘Wings of Tatev’. The ropeway is the longest in the world and if you are looking for unforgettable adventures in the air and want to fly, you don’t need a plane!! Wings of Tatev will take you to the sky!
