Haghartsin

Haghartsin Monastery is the hidden pearl of Armenia. It is in the territory of Dilijan National Park located in a really breathtaking place. The monastery may become a UNESCO World Heritage Site according to its history and present situation.  

The monastic complex was built between  10-13th century. It has been an important center for developing education and culture. During history, it has partly ruined. Anyway, it has struggled against the harsh conditions. Furthermore, recently it has undergone a major renovation with a donation by HH Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah. 

The monastery is amid lavish forests.
