Day 2St. Hripsime Church-St. Gayane Church-Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin-Zvartnots Cathedral

Feel the breath of Christianity!
First of all, do you know that Armenia has another capital besides Yerevan? It is Etchmiadzin, the spiritual capital of Armenia. For a start, enjoy an excursion out to the Church of the Holy Virgin Hripsime which offers good views of Mt Ararat and Mt Aragats. This building has stood since 618 AD. Afterwards, visit the 7th-century church of the Holy Virgin Gayane, which is an important architectural structure in Armenia. These virgins martyred to spread Christianity in Armenia. For a while, stop and find your peace in Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the holy capital of Armenia. The church was built in the place, where the Son of God (Jesus Christ) appeared in the dream of the first Catholicos of Armenia St. Gregory the Illuminator and pointed it out. This is where the name Etchmiadzin (Only-begotten came down) emerged. On the way back to Yerevan, enjoy the next Armenian 7th-century sanctuary Zvartnots, which means “Angels meeting”. Day 3Garni Temple (Duduk. Concert)-Geghard Monastery (Choir Music)

Continue your wonderful tour in Armenia and visit the 1st Century Pagan Temple Garni, which is the only standing heathen temple in Armenia. Special for you, a musician will play an Armenian national instrument duduk, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site along with Lavash and Geghard Monastery. Feel the mystery and, then, go reveal the 4th-century Geghard Monastery cut into the side of the rock. The name Geghard appeared because of the holy spear brought there in the 1st century by the Apostles. Besides discovering this wonderful monastery you will have an opportunity to listen to the choir music in the monastery, you don’t even imagine how it sounds.

Day 4City tour: Victory Park-Matenadaran-Megerian Carpet -Ararat Brandy Factory

Feel the combination of the old and the modern city which is one of the oldest in the world (2801 years old). Take a look at Yerevan from the Park of Victory. The park is a large forested area with an artificial lake, an amusement park, cafes, the statue of Mother Armenia and a museum. Mother Armenia is the female personification of Armenia. It symbolizes peace through strength. Afterwards, feel the history of Armenia and visit Matenadaran! Day 5Khor Virap-Areni Cave-Wine Tasting -Noravank- Lavash Baking Master Class-Jermuk

For a start, drive through the pretty Ararat Valley to the 4th-century monastery Khor Virap, where you will enjoy the closest view of Mt. Ararat. One small remark; “Khor Virap” means “deep dungeon”, where the first Armenian Catholicos Gregory the Illuminator has been detained for 13 years for spreading Christianity in the 4th century in Armenia. Next, continue your tour to Areni caves. It is where the oldest shoe in the world was found during the archaeological excavations. This most ancient winery in the world has a 6000-year history. Right here, taste some Armenian wine near the cave! thirdly, visit the most beautiful Noravank monastic complex. Consequently, a major religious, and later, the cultural centre of Armenia was closely connected with many educational institutes, primarily with Gladzor’s university and library. Everybody knows that Armenian cuisine is one of the tastiest … So, we give you the opportunity to be present in the master class of baking traditional Armenian bread lavash. Day 6Wings of Tatev-Tatev Monastery-Jermuk

Day 7Selim Pass-Hayravank Monastery-Dilijan

In the early morning, you can trace the Silk Road in Armenia by following its caravanserai, or inns; medieval stopping points where the caravan riders and their pack animals spent the night. The Selim Pass Caravanserai is a valuable example of these inns along the Armenian Silk Road. Afterwards, visit Hayravank, which is a 9th to 12th-century Armenian monastery located along the southwest shores of Lake Sevan. At the end of the day, head to the greenest area of Armenia which is sometimes called Armenian Switzerland. In half an hour you will get to Dilijan.

Day 8Goshavank Monastery-Haghartsin Monastery-Dilijan

In the early morning, start your tour to Goshavank Monastery to see the fine examples of cross-stones (khachkar). Khachkar is one of the symbols of Armenia. Goshavank was called after Mkhitar Gosh, who was one of the great intellectual powers of his day and he is an author of the first code of civil and Canon law. He is buried near the church. Day 10Saghmosavank-Armenian Alphabet Valley-Armenia Wine Company

Next morning, visit the 13th-century Saghmosvank, which was built in the village of Saghmosavan near the deep gorge of Qasagh River.
