St Ghazanchetsots church

Feel it, touch it and experience it!

St Ghazanchetsots church is one of the most important spiritual centres of Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh). It is in Shoushi town almost in the centre of Artsakh, a magical place with splendid nature.

The church was built in 1868-1887 by the local people. The architect was Simon Ter- Hakobyan. The face of the church is covered with local finished white lime-stone. It is one of the largest churches in Armenian Architecture. Armenian Catholicos Karekin II has called the cathedral as ‘a symbol of the Armenian liberation movement of Artsakh’. The church is highly significant for Armenia and Artsakh.

Come and touch the light of God and feel the spiritual harmony and ambience in Ghazanchetsots church!
